You can help us by signing up for Beta Testing
The aim of our beta testing program is to have a large number of WordPress users, with varying levels of experience, test our plugins prior to release. Testing in a “real world” environment, which can’t be simulated in our development test sites, helps us improve the quality of the release version. By beta testing and reporting issues back to us, you are helping us create a better and more stable application.
How do you participate?
- Sign up as a Beta Tester
- Download, install & activate the plugin – we’ll send you all the information you need to get started via e-mail
- Use the plugin during the beta testing period
- Send Beta Feedback – tell us about your experiences with using the plugin
- Note: You will not be able to participate in beta testing of any CF7 Skins Add-ons if you are not currently a CF7 Skins Pro user.
What are our expectations of Beta Testing participants?
We expect that you will:
- Spend at least a few hours during the beta test period actively working with the plugin (the more, the better)
- Report any issues or bugs experienced
- Assist us with solving reported bugs by providing additional information and solution verification if required
- Share with us your suggestions and ideas for improvements
- Provide us with general feedback through the Beta Feedback form
- Communicate in English
What else do you need to know?
Licensing & Updates during beta testing
During beta testing we control downloading and use of the plugins being beta tested via license keys which are available free of charge to registered beta testers. This allows us to notify beta testers of plugin updates, via the normal WordPress update procedures, during the beta period.
This is beta software that is still in development, which means some things may not work as expected
Keep in mind that some things might not work perfectly in the beta version. While we would like to hear from you if you encounter a bug, we may not always be able to offer support for problems you encounter or changes you desire.
Don’t test the beta plugin on a live production site
You definitely won’t want to test the beta plugin on a live production site. Instead use a development site in a separate sub-domain on your server or perhaps a WordPress install on your local computer.
Make Backups of your entire WordPress installation
You should make backups of your entire WordPress installation where you are testing the beta plugin to protect against corrupted and lost data. As a beta tester, you are responsible for carefully backing up your data in case things do go wrong.
We can tell you when we come out of Beta
If you are not up for some Beta Testing, but would like to be notified when beta testing is complete, we would be very happy to add you to our mailing list.
We’ll let you know when we complete beta testing.
